UHR Senior HR Summit 2023 - "Leading Well"

WELCOME!

We invite HR Directors and Chief People Officers and their deputies to join us on 7 and 8 June for UHR’s Senior HR Summit, “Leading Well”. We’ll be in Leeds for our second Summit, and we are planning on two days of hugely welcome networking, learning and reflection. Delegates highly valued last year’s event as a safe space where we were able to discuss strategy and talk freely with peers away from distractions. This event is designed specifically to meet those needs amongst our senior colleagues and is open to HRDs/CPOs – with a chance to bring along a Deputy/equivalent colleague working at a senior level who would see this event as a development opportunity.

TICKETS

Two-day tickets for the event will be available for £150pp. This includes lunch on both days, refreshment breaks, an evening dinner on Day 1, and of course a programme packed full of thought-provoking, interesting speakers and networking opportunities. No ticket options will include accommodation and delegates need to book their own accommodation. If you would like some suggestions for hotels close by then please contact Julie.

Of course we hope that delegates will be able to join us for the entire event but our options have been chosen to give you the flexibility you need.

Day tickets - We recognise that some colleagues aren’t able to attend both days and we will therefore be offering a small number of day tickets for both Day 1 and Day 2. Priced at £110pp, a ticket for Day 1 includes a half day with dinner in the evening. A ticket for Day 2 is a full day with lunch.  

Day 1 (7 June): Half day including lunch on arrival from 12.45pm, refreshment break and an evening Dinner finishing at 9.30pm.

Day 2 (8 June): Full day from 9.15 am to 4.45pm, including lunch and refreshment breaks

2nd Delegate Discount - As well as the HR Director/Chief People Officer, a Deputy working at a senior level can also attend; as this is a development opportunity, there is a £20 discount for the second delegate place when a two-day ticket is bought together. Please ensure that both delegate tickets are booked at the same time (and on the same booking form).  For any ticket queries please contact Julie.

Our programme includes a session on the SUMS study, commisioned on behalf of HEPI, to analyse the range of financial and non-financial benefits for academic staff in the sector. It is recommended that delegates who have booked a place at the HR Summit get a basic understanding of the SUMS study. The best way to do this (if you didn't make the webinar in March) is to watch the session recording here; the delivery at the Summit will build on this webinar content to dig deeper into the insights and enable discussion on what this means for your institution.

This is a purpose built, high quality event venue in the city centre, only 5-10 minutes’ walk from Leeds Central railway station. Leeds is close to the motorway network including the M1 and M62, with an airport nearby. The venue also offers discounted parking for delegates at nearby Leeds Dock CitiPark - we will send out information about this nearer the time.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We will not, under any circumstances, refund aborted travel costs associated with this event regardless of whether you or we cancel the booking. We recommend that you insure against any such losses or ensure your travel booking can be cancelled without penalty.  Our normal event terms and conditions apply EXCEPT THAT THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS FOR CANCELLATIONS AFTER 28 APRIL 2023.
