We invite HR Directors and Chief People Officers to join us on 28 and 29 June for UHR’s Senior HR Summit. We’ll be in Luton for our first in-person event since the initial Covid lockdown, and we are planning on two days of hugely welcome networking, learning and reflection. We’ve all missed the kind of event where we are in a safe space to discuss strategy, where we are away from distractions, and where we can talk freely with peers. This event is designed specifically to meet those needs amongst our senior colleagues and is open to HRDs/CPOs – with a chance to bring along a Deputy colleague working at a senior level who would see this event as a development opportunity.
Overnight and day ticket options are available.
Starting with coffee from 9.30am on Tuesday 28 June and finishing by 2pm on Wednesday 29 June, we’ll make good use of time, with an early evening dinner at the venue on Tuesday. Luton has strong transport links and we’ve arranged good value B&B accommodation options for those choosing to stay overnight. Of course we hope that delegates will be able to join us for the entire event but our options have been chosen to give you the flexibility you need.

The full programme can be found here.
Baroness Professor Alison Wolf, Sir Roy Griffiths Professor of Public Sector Management at King’s College London, for a session on the future of the HE workforce. Baroness Wolf sat on the Augar review panel, implementation of which obviously remains a live topic, and recently published the report “Managers and academics in a centralising sector”.
Professor Emma Parry, Head of the Changing World of Work Group at Cranfield Business School and author of Managing People in a Contemporary Context.
Sarah Henry, Vice President of HR Transformation & Solutions EMEA, Oracle;
Diane Gilhooley, Global Head of the Employment, Labour and Pensions Practice and Partner at Eversheds Sutherland LLP;
Rajay Naik, CEO of Skilled Education and Chair of the Commission on Lifelong Learning, and Hamish Laing, founding partner of Networked.
Dr Zainab Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor of London Metropolitan University, Director of the Centre for Equity and Inclusion, and convenor of the WHEN Senior Women of Colour Network;
Professor Steve West, CBE, Vice Chancellor of UWE, President of Universities UK and Chair of its Mental Health in Higher Education Working Group.

But our programme will be focused on allowing time for discussion and conversation rather than lots of content-heavy teaching sessions. We’ll have space for the kind of live interaction that just isn’t possible on Teams. If you've really missed the in-person input of peers, this is the event for you. Take yourself out of the office/virtual office environment for some thought-provoking personal development, and to refocus your energy with the help of your equivalents in universities from right across the UK.
2nd Delegate Discount
As well as the HR Director, one Deputy working at a senior level can also attend; as this is a development opportunity for a Deputy, there is a 15% discount for the second delegate place when a two-day ticket is bought together. Please ensure that both delegate tickets are booked at the same time (and on the same booking form). For any ticket queries, please contact Gill
