Thursday 10th December 2020
Timings: 10.00am - 12.45pm
Sessions will run from 10.00-11.15am, a short break of 15 minutes followed by a second session from 11.30am-12.45pm.
This year’s Update will, of course, be online, via Zoom - with a PowerPoint presentation.
This concise but comprehensive review will comprise two 1¼ hour sessions, with a break in the middle - providing a lively, easily-accessible one-stop-shop of all that we need to be aware of in the employment law field.
As ever, our specialist legal expert, Philip Lott will include his light-heated quizzes and case studies - and there will be a detailed handout of all the issues discussed. Amongst many others, these will include:
· The new legislation on employment particulars/contracts;
· Initiatives on bereavement and carers’ leave;
· An update on ‘Brexit’;
· The latest on the ‘Covid’ Job Support Measures;
· Issues arising from Homeworking;
· Plans to re-introduce Tribunal fees;
· Initiatives to alter time limits and continuity of employment rules;
· The significant developments on ‘philosophical belief’;
· Cases on: covert surveillance of staff; the ‘WASPI Women’ pensions claims;
redundancy selection; vicarious liability (yet again!); age discrimination in University
retirement policies, and:
the harassed ‘Office Diva’!
It will be a busy, engaging event – we hope you’ll join us.
