Updated coronavirus resources

24 April 2020      Martin Higgs, Communications Officer

Back in February, as the coronavirus emerged as a threat, we launched a resources page for UHR members. How fast the world changes. Many of the documents we shared then already seem like something from ancient history as this enormous professional challenge shifts and changes in nature. Today we’ve made changes to the resources we are sharing, removing some documents that now seem out of date, and making a decision to split the resources into two. Some will have relevance for your job and your institution while others will help for your personal health and wellbeing. We hope you find them useful.

Universities UK remain your first port of call for consistent information specific to the sector, and UHR will continue to signpost member institutions to UUK through this crisis. Clearly the HR dimension to this issue is significant. UUK have drawn together a panel of specialists from universities, and UHR is represented on that panel by our Vice Chair Joanne Marshall of the University of Bradford.

We will continue to update the resources listed on this website as we become aware of newer or better ones. Some take the form of template letters (which have been created at a UHR member university but anonymised to make them useful for you); while others are links to relevant and credible third-party sources of advice.
