Tuesday 30th June 2020
Timings: 3pm - 4pm
Join David Browne and Tom Long from Shakespeare Martineau for a highly practical exploration of how to manage a redundancy programme in a virtual world. The session will identify the key issues to consider when undertaking virtual collective consultation and how to manage both collective and individual redundancy meetings through technology. It will also explore the legal risks of progressing a redundancy exercise in the current climate, especially if institutions cannot follow their own standard processes and procedures. This includes implications for universities following the model statute and how any risks in not following it can be mitigated.
