Emma Walton-Pond, Communications Officer
Ex-HR Director at the BBC, Lucy Adams, is confirmed as closing speaker at the UHR Conference 2019
Lucy Adams’ career has taken her across public and private sector roles including a five-year period as HR Director at the BBC. She now runs her own company, Disruptive HR.
“To be honest it started with a bunch of frustrations. Like many other people, we found ourselves constantly moaning about HR and its lack of impact, so we thought it only fair that we get off our bums and do something about it. We are excited about the difference HR could make, but when you are working flat out in a busy HR role, you often don’t have the time or the energy to disrupt the old ways of doing things.”
Lucy’s session “From Transaction to Transformation: HR as Culture Disruptors” will challenge us to think new and fresh and differently about our HR leadership roles and will bring UHR Conference 2019 to a fantastic conclusion.
It’s also great to be able to announce confirmed contributors including:
The full programme of speakers, legal sessions and workshops is as packed and provoking as it has ever been, with plenary sessions taking us from “Powerhouse” as we explore civic partnerships and the role of universities in local economies, to “The Psychology of High Performing Cultures” as we think about the role HR teams play in cultural shift within our institutions.
Late booking remains open for day places as well as for the entire conference. We’d love to see you in Manchester for the most concentrated boost of HR energy available anywhere all year.
