Global Mobility training and update events

24 January 2018      Michael Edwards,

Members have made it clear that they are often exercised by the many issues to consider around the engagement of individuals working abroad. Consequently, KPMG has agreed to run a number of sessions for us, free of charge, in order to address potential pitfalls and best practice.

Going global? – How to deal with international engagements and flying faculty, will cover thecomplex tax issues in a way that will be accessible to your International Office as well as your teams in Finance, HR, Payroll, Legal and Tax. There really is something for everyone! It will discuss the common activities and scenarios when it comes to specific education international activities/contracts, the issues that arise and practically how these issues can be managed.  This will enable you to spot the potential issues as you become aware of them, ask the right questions and seek advice from your tax team or advisors as appropriate.

KPMG will also bring a specialist in each of Employment and Corporate Taxes, and VAT to the events so you can come armed with any international tax question you might need answering! Places are available at London on the 9th March, Manchester on the 19thMarch, and Glasgow on the 21stMarch. All events will start at 11 and end at 3. Lunch will be provided.

A reminder that the NWUPC have a Global Mobility Support Services Framework agreement which is open for all HE members to use.  For further information on that click here  or contact Helen Dodd-Williams  at NWUPC who would be pleased to hear from you
