PMF Terms of Use

The user institution understands that the People Management Framework (PMF) and User Guidance is made available for use with the following terms and conditions.

The PMF was developed by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (“PwC”) and may be used, on a sub-licence basis, by organisations in the UK and Ireland that are in membership of Universities HR and/or in receipt of HEFCE funding, subject to the following.

The PMF has been developed using data and assumptions from a variety of sources. PwC has not sought to establish the reliability of those sources or verified the information so provided, nor has the Framework been audited by PwC. Accordingly no representation or warranty of any kind (whether express or implied) is given by PwC as to the internal consistency or accuracy of the PMF nor any output from it. Moreover the PMF does not absolve any recipient from conducting its own audit in order to verify its functionality and/or performance. You should not act upon the information contained in the PMF without obtaining specific professional advice.

PwC accepts no duty of care to any person (except to its client(s) under the relevant terms of its engagement letter with such client(s)) for the development of the PMF, its use, nor in respect of any output from it. Accordingly, regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, PwC accepts no liability of any kind and disclaims all responsibility for the consequences of any person (other than its client(s) on the above basis) acting or refraining to act in reliance on the PMF and/or its output or for any decisions made or not made which are based upon such PMF and/or its output.

The user institution agrees not, publicly, to criticise the PMF. The user institution agrees to provide feedback to UHR and PwC to assist with the continuous improvement and refinement of the PMF. This may be through ad-hoc feedback requests or invitations to attend feedback workshops. The user institution will not pass on copies, in part or whole, outside the institution, nor seek to exploit its content or make financial gain in any form.
